KASBAH AFRO Collection -Tiébélé Low Table A
Limited edition collection
Design by Silvia Chiabrera
A sculptural piece of contemporary African design, the Tiébélé Low Table A is part of a unique duo of handcrafted tables in the KASBAH AFRO Collection which also includes matching ottomans, benches, and decorative cushions. This collection is inspired by the powerful aesthetics of West African architecture and artisanal traditions.
The design of this table pays homage to the stunning Tiébélé houses in Burkina Faso, known for their graphic mud-wall frescoes painted by women using natural pigments and tribal motifs. These ancestral patterns have been reinterpreted on the table surface in a bold composition of black and white resin, enriched with solid walnut wood inlays from Morocco. Each pattern is a tribute to symbolic African geometry, merging cultural meaning with visual impact.
The 3-legged base, crafted from solid Moroccan walnut wood, features a sculptural silhouette that echoes tribal forms. Designed by Italian architect Silvia Chiabrera, the leg shape is both minimal and expressive, combining ethnic soul with contemporary style. The natural grain of the wood contrasts beautifully with the graphic tabletop, making this table a centerpiece in any modern interior.
Perfect as a coffee table or as a pair with its companion piece (Tiébélé Low Table B), this design object elevates interior décor with its bold ethnic elegance. Whether in a living room, design hotel, or art collector’s home, it brings a sense of crafted sophistication rooted in African heritage and Moroccan craftsmanship.
