The “KASBAH AFRO” furniture collection is a tribute to the rich earthen architecture of North and West Africa, blending elements from Morocco’s traditional kasbahs with the monumental mud structures of Mali. This collection draws on the architectural heritage of Morocco’s fortified kasbahs, which are built with thick, tapering walls that rise into striking conical forms, and the earthen mosques of Mali, such as the iconic structures in Djenné and Timbuktu.

Using bogolan fabrics from Mali—handcrafted textiles dyed with natural mud and imbued with cultural symbolism—each piece in the KASBAH AFRO collection embodies the essence of West African artistry. The bogolan, or “mud cloth,” brings a unique texture and depth to the furniture, each pattern telling a story of Malian heritage. The stools and benches feature solid wood frames with conical legs, echoing the sturdy and organic forms found in both Moroccan and Malian architecture.
