The Afro Tribal style furniture includes seating options, such as benches and ottomans, upholstered with authentic bogolan fabrics, alongside accent pieces like pillows and artists’ paintings inspired by African ethnic themes.
The stools and benches feature solid wood frames with conical legs, echoing the architectural heritage of Morocco’s fortified kasbahs, with thick, tapering walls forming striking conical shapes, and Mali’s earthen mosques, such as those in Djenné and Timbuktu.
WEST AFRICAN EARTHEN ARCHITECTURE INSPIRATION
Using handcrafted bogolan fabrics from Mali, textiles dyed with natural mud and imbued with cultural symbolism, each piece in the KASBAH AFRO collection embodies West African Tribal artistry.
The bogolan, or “mud cloth,” adds unique texture and depth, with patterns narrating Malian heritage.
A highlight of the collection, Tiébélé Low Tables crafted in Moroccan walnut wood and resin, feature sculptural surfaces adorned with tribal motifs drawn from Burkina Faso’s sacred mud walls, blending ancestral memory with contemporary elegance.
The collection also includes African tribal décor, such as handwoven pillows, Afro style artworks and home decor, alongside functional cabinets that reflect the same ethnic aesthetic.
