“I have a deep affection for the CONTESSA Collection, a journey that began with childhood memories in my family’s countryside home in Piedmont, Italy.
In my grandmother’s bedroom, two charming small armchairs captured my imagination with their graceful, curved backrests, sparking a lifelong love for unique design. Years later, I brought them to Morocco for a makeover, only to discover their structure weakened by woodworms. But throwing things away isn’t my style … so I decided to reimagine their form, preserving that elegant silhouette and pairing it with more playful legs. I designed hand-turned solid wood legs, blending whimsy and elegance, which, once hand-painted in the MORETTINA® workshop, became the heart of this playful baroque contemporary design.”
